Stella Deligianni

Stella Deligianni was born in Thessaloniki where she studied Economics at the School of Higher Industrial Studies of Thessaloniki, Greece. A career opened in business administration but her love for art and creation led her to enter the world of jewellery.

She started studying the techniques of metalsmith and in 1985 she opened her own workshop and an art shop “PLIADES”.

She attended jewellery courses at the Mocume school of Jewellery (1989)and the training workshop “Surface in Depth” by Stefano Marketi at the “Le Arti Orafe Jewellery School” in Lucca-Tuskany (2009).
From 1990 to 1996 she was teaching metalsmith at a jewellery school (ALKI) in Thessaloniki, Greece.
She is one of the founding members of J.A.W. (Jewellery Art Workers), a group of Greek jewellery designers.

Clean lines, plastic forms, individual metal surfaces, personal techniques for joining and fussing silver with gold characterize her creations which can be found at selected galleries around Greece and abroad.

the inspiration

Stella Deligianni’s creations capture her experiences. The inspiration comes from everyday life: images, situations, conversations and emotions become lines, curves, folds, angles, and they tell stories. Sometimes simple, sometimes complicated.
